Next Day Ponderings on my 40th

Yesterday was my 40th birthday, hence the start of our journey. With the start of the trip and the lack of sleep from the night before, I didn't have much time to process and think. Today, however, is a different story.

With being 40 comes a certain freedom that you don't have when you are younger. I have more of a knowledge of who I am and what I want, what I like and what I don't like, more of a security of who I am in Christ. One other biggie, much to my girls embarrassment, a freedom to speak my mind. So I'm praying that in my 40's I learn wisdom and self control on when to speak and when to be content with not letting everyone know what I think!!

With 508 miles under our belt, today holds 350 ish to Chicago with a stop at Humboldt Park. And here's fingers crossed, a stop at the Indiana Dunes State Park.
